Imre Pászka (1949) is a sociologist, professor of the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Szeged, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (DSc). Research interests: elites (national, ethnical, micro-regional), identity, legitimization (alternatives of Eastern-European modernization), conceptual history, transitions from pre-modern regional society and economic structures to modern ones, Transylvanian society, sociological methods (sociology of narrative story-forms, life story, autobiography).
